Amazon has a slew of gaming deals you can pick up right now (Image: LENOVO . LOGITECH . GETTY . CORSAIR)

Amazon’s newest surprise sale has landed, and for any gamers in need of a new keyboard, laptop, or streaming accessories, it could be a good place to start. The ‘Amazon Tech Week Sale‘ runs until May 13 in rivalry to the discounts seen at Argos and Currys this week.

Despite being branded a ‘tech sale’, most of the deals are focused on gaming as top brands like Logitech, Corsair, and Lenovo feature heavily. That being said, items like the Apple Watch Series 10, discounted Beats Wireless earphones, and 4K Hisense TV’s have been selling fast thanks to their discounts, all be it they are harder to spot.

As I keen gamer myself, I’ve scoured through the Amazon offers. Everything from streaming microphones to powerful gaming laptops from Lenovo, these are my top picks.

Logitech Blue Yeti microphone

The Blue Yeti microphone is £79.99 – down from the usual price of £109 and perfect to upgrade a gaming or streaming set-up, especially if gamers are considering starting to break into streaming. Me and my partner own one of these and it’s perfect if you record or game in order to get a crisp sound for your recordings.

The Blue Yeti produces clear, powerful, broadcast-quality sound for YouTube videos, Twitch streaming, podcasting, Zoom meetings, and music recording. There are also multiple channels, including flexible cardioid, omni, bidirectional, and stereo pickup patterns that allow you to record vocals, instruments, and podcasts in ways that would normally require multiple mics.

However, it’s an expensive purchase for the price and some reviewers have complained that the microphone was ‘extremely sensitive’. You can also pick up the budget ZealSound USB Microphone for £29.

Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED gaming mouse

The Logitech G305 has become a classic design when it comes to mice, whether gaming or working from home. It is currently £39.99, which is one of the cheapest prices it has been in a while.

It comes with the next-gen HERO mouse sensor and the ultra-fast LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, which gives gamers a lag-free gaming experience and eliminates the need for wires.

It also boasts 250 hours of continuous gameplay on a single AA battery so you can play at peak performance without worrying about running out of power. It also has flawless reviews with more than 17,000 reviews. One shopper said: “For £40 this mouse is a dream to use, there are obviously better ones but I honestly can’t think of any that match this one at this price point.”

But some reviewers have complained that ‘it feels cheap’. As an alternative, you can pick up the Logitech G Pro x Superlight here for £99.

Lenovo LOQ 15-inch gaming laptop

The Lenovo LOQ gaming laptop might be the thing shoppers need for gaming or productivity if they’re at university or need to breakout into PC gaming. And at less than £700, it might be a good pickup.

This gaming laptop comes with an Intel Core i5-12450hx, 24GB RAM, a 1TB SSD and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050. It’s perfect for light-to-medium gaming and has a 15.6-inch 16:9 display, coupled with a 3-side narrow bezel. There’s also full HD resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 300-nit brightness to ensure vivid visuals.

There’s also a slightly more expensive laptop from the same brand with a 4060 right here, but be prepared to spend a little bit more for the upgrade. Gaming laptops can be expensive and not for everyone, so make sure you make an informed purchase. There’s also this MSI gaming laptop from Currys with an RTX 3050 included.

Corsair K70 PRO keyboard

This Corsair K70 gaming keyboard has seen a big price drop for Amazon Tech Week, from £169 to £129 for a tenkeyless keyboard with some lovely specs.

It includes pre-lubricated CORSAIR MGX Hyperdrive magnetic switches with rapid trigger. The device also allows gamers to adjust the actuation point of each key from a super-sensitive 0.4mm to a deep 3.6mm—perfect for FPS games when they need that competitive advantage.

As someone who loves rapid trigger when I play FPS games, this might be a great cheaper alternative to some of the big-name brands out there. However, the K70 is getting a bit of flack from reviewers due to the software so that’s something to consider.

If you want to shop around, you can also pick up this Ducky x Fallout keyboard on Overclockers for £110 if you want your keyboard to have a bit more personality and jazz.
