At one end where all the ten IPL teams are gearing up for the IPL 2024 auction all set to take place in Dubai on December 19, predictions have also taken over the market ahead of the big event. A total of 333 players from all over the world are set to go under the hammer at the Coca-Cola Arena in the IPL 2024 auction.

Mumbai Indians, who are left with a purse of INR 17.75 crore were able to make the biggest deal of the tournament as they were able to rope in all-rounder and Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya. Pandya a former team member of MI, will lead the franchise in the 17th edition of the cash-rich league.

As per reports, Pandya’s deal was worth INR 15 crore, however, he has also been offered various brand collaborations. MI has a big role in shaping the career of Hardik Pandya, as the five-time IPL champions were the franchise that gave Hardik the chance to showcase his talent at the world level.

Besides all the developments ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, former Chennai Super Kings batsman Subramaniam Badrinath has predicted his highest buy and highest Indian buy of the tournament. While playing for the five-time champions, Badrinath scored 1441 runs from 95 matches and scored a total of 11 half-centuries.

Subramaniam Badrinath makes bold predictions about IPL 2024 auction

In a tweet on X, S Badrinath wrote:

“Highest Buy of the Auction – Rachin Ravindra/Travis Head Highest Buy of the Auction (Indian) – Shardul Thakur/Shahrukh Khan What are your predictions?”

Ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, young New Zealand opener Rachin Ravindra, emerging South African pacer Gerald Coetzee, ace Australian players Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Travis Head will be one of the players that all the ten teams will eye in the 2024 IPL auction.

All these cricketers shined in the recently concluded 2023 ODI World Cup and proved their mettle on the world stage with their magnificent performances.

However, English all-rounder Sam Curran, Indian pacer Shardul Thakur, and Harshal Patel will also be among the big names that the ten IPL franchises might run after in the IPL 2024 auction.

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings look like the most settled IPL team as always ahead of the mini-auction. At one end, Hardik Pandya will have the onus to guide his team to the sixth IPL trophy, MSD is once again expected to lead the ‘Men in Yellow’.

Gujarat Titans have the highest purse ahead of the mini-auction due to which they might rope in plenty of big names. However, with the likes of Shubman Gill, the Titans are once again the favorites to win their second title.

Apart from the big guns, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals will want to lift their maiden IPL trophy and hence will be walking into the auction room to build a stable team.
