Aston Martin Shows How The Most Powerful Luxury SUV Is Made

As is usually the case with these kinds of videos, watching the interior come together is quite special. Aston Martin still uses skilled artisans to build seats by hand. According to the British brand, only humans have the capacity to place the seat foam perfectly, which plays a big role in comfort.

Oddly, some of the more intricate stitching has been handed over to robots. The Aston Martin logo embossed on the seatbacks is done entirely by a robot. Aston says it uses these machines since they are faster and more reliable, though we doubt ultra-luxury brands like Rolls-Royce and Bentley will agree.

The interior components are only mounted in the car once the marriage between the base platform and body is complete. The focus of the video changes direction after roughly eight minutes and also provides a quick look at how the DB11 is made.

It’s a bit outdated, as the DB12 has already made its debut, but many of the production methods will likely be carried over.
